About this Opportunity:
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer plays a crucial role in executing proprietary designs provided by customers, encompassing individual components and sub-assemblies. This position involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing manufacturing methodologies, tooling, and testing protocols to guarantee manufacturing capability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer technical assistance to customers throughout New Product Introduction (NPI) and production phases.
  • Provide suppliers with technical guidance in sourcing or developing components and assemblies.
  • Assess manufacturing processes by designing and executing research initiatives.
  • Formulate manufacturing processes by analyzing product specifications, exploring testing methodologies, and consulting with equipment suppliers.
  • Enhance manufacturing productivity by evaluating and planning workflow, spatial requirements, and equipment arrangement.
  • Ensure product and process quality through the design of testing methodologies.
  • Deliver manufacturing decision-making insights by calculating production, labor, and material expenses.
  • Compile product and process reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering insights by addressing inquiries and requests.
  • Uphold product and company reputation by adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Maintain equipment functionality by coordinating maintenance and repair operations.
  • Complete design and development projects by mentoring and guiding technicians.
  • Enhance professional and technical expertise by participating in educational workshops.
  • Act as a technical point of contact to fulfill the Customer Focus Business Unit (CFBU) objectives related to delivery, quality, and customer service.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by senior management.
  • Over 8 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic manufacturing and process enhancement initiatives.
  • In-depth knowledge of metal fabrication methods (including sheet metal, welding, brazing, investment casting, machining, and metal spinning).
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Background in safety, testing, and tool/fixture design.
  • Familiarity with production scaling and product/technology transitions.
  • Proficient in statistical software for data analysis.
  • Understanding of Outside Processes (such as anodizing, chemical film, painting, etc.) and the ability to collaborate with suppliers to meet part specifications.
  • Experience with one or more advanced 3D CAD systems.
  • Exhibit discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professionalism when representing the company.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
