Scope/Purpose of the Position

Bakerly is seeking a talented Human Resource/Office Manager will plan, coordinate, and direct the administrative functions of Bakerly. They will oversee the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new staff; consult with top executives on strategic planning; and serve as a link between an organization's management and its employees.The office manager component of this position is responsible for overall front office activities, purchasing of office supplies, requests and facilities and management of the building.

Requirements: Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions

HR Responsibilities -

· Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.

· Works with the Talent Acquisition Coordinator to assist in filling roles when needed, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

· Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.

· Perform benefits administration and reporting; Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, 401k, ACA, FMLA, STD, LTD, Life, Vol Life, Accident, and Critical Illness Insurance.

· Actively participate in administrative staff meetings.

· Implementation and monitoring of company KPI's regarding hires, turnover, attendance, headcount, etc.

· Provides support and guidance to staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.

· Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, and holiday parties.

· Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.

· I-9 Audit to be completed by the end of each February

· Assist with annual Performance Review for all employees to ensure all reviews are received, create new rate increase letters and file.

· Conducting exit interviews on terminating employees

· Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.

· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

· Work closely with the Safety Manager to plan, organize, administer Workers' Compensation, including the review and processing of claims and legal documents. Advise department about the status of claims.

· Conducts new hire orientation including benefits review, office tours and scheduling training

· Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

· Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

· Maintains constant and effective communication with the corporate HR team

· Birthday event coordination

· Room scheduling and set up for meetings and events

· Monitoring and ordering of office supplies

· Invoice approvals

· Accepting deliveries and scheduling pickups for shipments of mail and packages

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualification Requirements

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· A minimum of two years of human resource management experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
