Working with us, you will: Lead a team of sustainability professionals including sustainability specialists, strategists, initiative champions, and market/discipline affinity group leaders in their support of sustainability services, education programs, and design integration.Manage external partner relationships such as Architecture 2030, International Living Future Institute, USGBC, Healthy Building Network, Carbon Leadership Forum, etc.Be actively engaged in projects, providing technical guidance based on your knowledge of sustainability, energy modeling, daylight modeling, etc.In partnership with the Director of Performance Analytics, develop and implement democratized sustainability tools, resources, and training to all staff to support general expertise in sustainability topics.Minimum 15 years relevant experience in environmental sustainability, environmental management, engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, or equivalent consulting experience focused specifically on sustainability.A proven integrated and holistic approach to all areas of sustainability.Extensive knowledge of LEED and other relevant sustainability certification programs.SmithGroup also promotes a healthy work/life balance for our staff which includes an alternative work schedule that provides employees with an additional 15 days off per year (usually Fridays), as well as hybrid work options that give our team the flexibility to work within our vibrant office culture or remotely, as needed.
