Position Summary

The Energy and Carbon Sustainability Analyst will be a vital member of the Sustainability Team, responsible for integrating sustainability principles into various operational frameworks. This role focuses on key areas such as Energy, Carbon, Waste, Health, and Water, each aligned with ambitious sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and identify opportunities for enhancing energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions across multiple programs and initiatives.
  • Gather, process, and synthesize data from various sources, including fieldwork and publicly accessible datasets. Data types may include electric vehicle usage, fuel consumption, energy generation, and utility performance metrics.
  • Conduct thorough analyses and present findings through visual representations such as charts and infographics.
  • Draft comprehensive reports detailing methodologies, data interpretations, and outcomes for stakeholder review.
  • Deliver presentations to teams and stakeholders, both virtually and in person, to communicate project updates and findings.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings with stakeholders, preparing agendas, documentation, and follow-up materials.
  • Collaborate with various departments to achieve sustainability goals and objectives.
  • Investigate and report on emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and funding opportunities relevant to sustainability efforts.
  • Support greenhouse gas accounting initiatives using established tools and methodologies for emissions tracking.
  • Engage with airport partners to gather emissions data and recommend strategies for reduction.
  • Contribute to additional sustainability projects, including compliance reporting, training programs, and community outreach efforts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in data analysis and management of large datasets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting and energy management practices.
  • Understanding of building systems and energy efficiency technologies.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project demands and priorities.
