What you'll do

We are seeking a dynamic digital marketing maven and content creator with a B2B or enterprise product/service background to join our global branding and communications team. This role would report to our director of branding & communications. On any given day, the person we hire for this role might find themselves:

  • Working closely with the Cartus branding & comms team (your direct peers) and cross-functional subject matter experts to develop short- and long-form multichannel content to support Cartus lead generation/nurturing activities and elevate our reputation for industry thought leadership, including but not limited to blog posts, podcasts, white papers, survey reports, video scripts/storyboards, product marketing materials, webinars, and social media campaigns
  • Collaborating with the Cartus web team and third-party agency partners to:
  • Help develop and manage buyer personas and journeys
  • Develop and manage lead generation and nurture strategies and campaigns using our marketing/email automation platform
  • Continue optimizing 's Front End UX/UI and Back End capabilities
  • Manage short- and long-term SEO strategy
  • Create landing pages to support paid and earned digital campaigns
  • Update native and Embedded content and resources
  • Partnering with our external agency of record to build and refine our paid media campaigns, deploying tactics for brand awareness, demand generation, lead conversion, and other top-of-funnel tactics
  • Coordinating with external and internal partners and data sources to deliver validated analytics and reporting around digital lead generation/attribution, web traffic, and other evergreen and campaign-specific KPIs
  • Researching and presenting on the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing
  • As needed, writing and developing other thought leadership content in partnership with our external communications team
  • Occasionally, proofreading/editing content for other branding and communications deliverables
  • Rarely, traveling for industry or team events (1-2x/year)

  • Have 3+ years of hands-on experience building, executing, and analyzing a full-stack digital marketing and content strategy, including website copy/information architecture, landing pages, SEO/SEM, paid media, marketing automation/email marketing/CRM management, digital analytics/ROI calculations, and other digitally driven lead-generation and -nurturing activities
  • Have 3+ years of experience of writing and developing short- and long-form content and thought leadership across multiple formats and channels as described previously
  • Are familiar with any of the following digital platforms, their capabilities, and their optimization tactics: Contentful (our CMS), Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (our CRM-formerly known as Pardot), Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SEMRush, Google Search Console, etc.
  • Are willing to jump in anywhere else you might be needed to support our mini-but-mighty mob of merry marketeers (eg, event marketing, award applications, etc.)

What you'll bring to the table

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing and content/strategy development
  • Strong communication skills, especially virtual presentations and written communications
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making
  • Minimum home Internet speeds of 50 Mbps download and 7 Mbps upload (not reimbursed)
  • 2-3 professional references available upon request
  • 2-3 professional writing/project samples that you feel best demonstrate your ability to perform the work described to this point (please include as links within or as an addendum to your formal resume when you apply)

Nice-to-haves:

  • B2B or enterprise product/service experience
  • Technical proficiency/direct experience in digital media attribution and pixel tracking, with a solid understanding of how to implement, analyze, and optimize pixel technology for effective tracking and measurement of earned and paid advertising campaigns
  • Comfort operating in a 99% virtual team environment (we use MS Teams)
  • Familiarity with digital project management/Kanban tools (we use Hive)
