Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of demonstrated Engineering leadership experience in the manufacturing industry (NOT AUTOMOTIVE OR PHARMACEUTICAL).
  • Proven track record in strategic engineering leadership, delivering effective strategies, policies, processes, and systems.
  • Experience and training in DVP, DFMEA, PPAP, root-cause analysis, cost modeling, Lean, Six-Sigma, benchmarking, best practices, and VA/VE

Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Direct and coordinate the on-time, on-budget design, development, and release of new models and features.
  • Manage the NPD process to ensure timely product release in compliance with engineering specifications.
  • Establish strategy and best practices to achieve business objectives.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure product manufacturability while maintaining quality and cost targets.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on product development and market opportunities.
  • Report regularly on Engineering activities to the Senior Management team.
  • Lead Program Management for cross-functional project execution.
  • Lead Advanced Supplier Quality for proper material PPAP for launches and introductions.
  • Monitor and control Engineering budgetary expenditures.
  • Resolve production and processing problems.
  • Ensure strong communication between teams for information exchange and improvement implementation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prioritize engineering projects based on business targets and available resources.
