Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Office Administrative Assistant at our Orlando, FL location. The Office Administrative Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks including answering phones, scheduling appointments, communicating with patients, insurance companies, executive administrative assistance and billing. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support our medical staff and office operations.


Qualifications

  • Strong phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Clerical skills, including typing, filing, and data entry
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software programs
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
  • High school diploma or GED required


Responsibilities

  • Answering phone calls, creating appointments, directing the calls as required and handling all queries
  • Maintaining a filing system for all patient documents and reports submitted
  • Answering emails and other electronic messages as required
  • Creating invoices and bills, processing insurance forms and managing vendors and contractors Duties may also include making insurance claims, sending bills to patients, and arranging collections
  • Ability to work quickly and multi-task.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment.
  • General office duties and other duties as require
  • Follow-up on denials with practices/patients and resubmit with updated information
  • Process and mail paper claims
  • Charge Entry / Review of Diagnosis and Treatment codes+
  • Contact payers/ insurance to obtain related patient information for billing purposes.


Skills and Experience

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office tools required
  • Working knowledge of EMR/EHR software programs a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative and independent judgment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
