About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Food Service Regional Sales Manager in the Mid-Atlantic region, specifically targeting aspiring sales professionals with specialty food experience looking to elevate their food sales career This position is remote but must be based within driving commuting distance to the Washington, DC area. If you are a go-getter who thrives on building solid relationships and is eager to win, Bridor is the place for you.
In this role, you will focus on developing and managing accounts primarily within the Mid-Atlantic territory, with a strong emphasis on broadliners and fine dining establishments. Your ability to build and maintain relationships in these key sectors will be crucial to achieving Bridor’s goals in profitability, volume, and new product launches. Responsibilities:
- Drive Sales Growth: Achieve Bridor’s goals in profitability, volume, and new product launches.
- Distributor Relationships: Cultivate and grow relationships with key distributors, dedicating 40% of your time to a primary distributor and 60% to others, especially within the fine dining and specialty food sectors.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities while managing and expanding existing accounts in the Mid-Atlantic region, focusing on broadliners and fine dining establishments.
- Broker & Trade Spend Management: Oversee brokers, manage trade spend, and execute competitive pricing strategies to optimize margins.
- Market Strategy: Develop annual business plans and provide market insights to drive profitable sales in the specialty food market.
- Customer Engagement: Conduct presentations, sales training, and product sampling to enhance Bridor’s market presence among fine dining and specialty food clients.
- Industry Events: Represent Bridor at food shows and events, networking within the fine dining and specialty food sectors.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-10 years of regional sales experience, specifically in the food service sector, focusing on accounts within the Mid-Atlantic territory, with a strong emphasis on broadliners and fine dining.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in premium-quality baking products or related specialty food sectors is essential.
- Sales Skills: Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management abilities.
- Baking Experience: Candidates with baking experience or knowledge of the baked goods industry are highly valued.
- Location: Must be based remotely in the Mid-Atlantic territory with a driving commute to the Washington, DC area.
- Travel Requirement: 60% travel, including 3-4 days per week on the road.
