Director of Business Development

The Director of Business Development at HFG Architecture, a leading healthcare architecture, planning and design servvices firm, will spearhead our business development initiatives across the state of Arkansas, and other high-potential geographies. This strategic role involves leading the firm's growth objectives in the healthcare sector, identifying new market opportunities, building partnerships within the healthcare industry, and overseeing our relationships with healthcare clients.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic business development plans that align with the company's objectives and the evolving healthcare landscape.
2. Healthcare Market Opportunities: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the healthcare sector. Understand and anticipate the unique needs and trends of healthcare facilities and systems.
3. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with healthcare clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and securing repeat business.
4. Team Leadership: Partner with the business development and marketing teams, nurturing a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing of the healthcare sector, and achievement.
5. Healthcare Networking: Represent the company at healthcare industry events, conferences, and networking gatherings. Develop strategic relationships with healthcare industry leaders and potential partners, to include hospitals, trade associations, health clinics, medical centers (surgery, oncology, dental, etc…) and other B2B partners in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) space.
6. Proposal Development: Oversee the proposal development process, ensuring that our healthcare architectural services are presented effectively and meet the unique needs of potential clients in the healthcare industry.
7. Performance Reporting: Monitor and report on business development performance metrics within the healthcare sector. Deliver strategic recommendations to senior management based on these metrics.
8. Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with other department heads to align business development strategies with the company's objectives and the specifics of healthcare architecture.
9. Budget Adherence: Track actual spending vs. planned spending, and work to creatively deploy resources for target geography. Communicate and plan with leadership team for future needs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, Healthcare Administration, or a related field or experience.
2. Experience in business development or related job field preferred.
3. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business development strategies within the healthcare and/or AEC sector.
4. Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with healthcare professionals.
5. Comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, trends, and regulations within the healthcare industry.
6. Proficiency in CRM software and other business development tools.
7. Comfortable with regular weekly travel.
