About the Role: The Business Development Representative (BDR) Manager at Gallaway Commercial is dedicated to leading and developing a team that fosters relationships with prospects that meet our ideal client profile through California. Our goal is to become a trusted resource to these prospects to convert them to clients over time. This role involves overseeing telephone outreach and tailored email correspondence conducted by BDRs as well as telephone and email outreach by the BDR Manager. Utilizing our HubSpot CRM, the BDR Manager will ensure that the team efficiently manages and organizes their work while collaborating closely with management to continuously improve our approach. This position is ideal for someone with a genuine interest in advocating for clients, has exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to mentor and develop a team. This is an in-person full-time position. There is no opportunity for remote or hybrid work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Oversee a team of BDRs, their KPIs (modify KPIs as necessary), and their sales leads/pipeline.
- Training and Development: Create and update training materials. Onboard and develop high-performing and committed sales reps, ensuring a progressive career path within the company.
- Sales and Pipeline Management: Manage escalation processes, participate in weekly sales meetings, and manage pipeline activity. Own and execute your own pipeline.
- Sales Effectiveness: Track, measure, and report on sales effectiveness. Create marketing content and strategies as necessary.
- Forecasting: Become efficient in forecasting, working to become accurate and predictable over time.
- Client Interaction: Help clients understand our service capabilities to develop winning solutions tailored to their specific business needs.
- Operational Excellence: Develop and implement strategies for operational excellence.
- Direct Report Development: Build development plans for your direct reports and conduct weekly 1:1s.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of progressive sales leadership experience managing BDRs.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience with a CRM. HubSpot experience is a plus.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in client acquisition through cold outreach
- Sales Techniques: In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of sales techniques.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate short-term targets (e.g., quarterly targets).
- Operational Excellence: Proven knack for developing and implementing operational excellence.
