The company has received numerous accolades, including the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and holds more than 11,000 patents, including key patents in 3G/4G/5G, multi-card multi-standby, and multi-mode technologies.

We are looking to hire our first Director of Business Development in the US.

Candidate must be able to commute daily to our San Jose or San Diego office.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain the business ecosystem for UNISOC, overseeing product marketing and business development in the US market. Take full responsibility for all US business goals as the first business-side hire from HQ.
  • Manage existing local brand customers and identify new business opportunities to achieve business goals in the US market.
  • Conduct market research on product and regulatory requirements in the US market, ensuring that feedback is communicated to headquarters and that requirements are met according to market demand.
  • Coordinate business and project activities between US local customers and business partners in China, mobilizing necessary resources to ensure project delivery and business success.
  • Maintain routine and efficient communication with all potential and existing business partners and industrial associations, as applicable.
  • Interface with major technical ecosystem partners in the US and the HQ technical team.


Qualifications


  • Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently under business pressure and across cultural differences.
  • 15+ years of experience in business development or sales within the telecommunication or semiconductor industry.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage high-level customer relationships, with preferred candidates bringing established business resources.
  • Extensive knowledge and insight into the US telecommunication market and business environment.
  • Strong product background with the ability to quickly understand UNISOC products.
  • Advanced business development and negotiation skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred candidates have business management experience within smartphone brands, carriers, or chipset companies.
  • Proficiency in Chinese is required
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
