Position Summary: We are seeking a Senior Program Manager with a strong background in aviation and extensive experience in managing large-scale projects. Based in New Haven, CT, this role will require regular field presence to oversee and ensure the successful execution of projects aligned with our firm’s commitment to sustainability and quality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage large-scale aviation projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight throughout all project phases from initiation to completion.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet project objectives and client expectations.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress and managing risks effectively.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and addressing concerns proactively.
  • Implement best practices in project management, ensuring quality control and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior project managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, milestones, and deliverables to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in program or project management, with a focus on aviation projects.
  • Minimum of 3 years in aviation - 1 large scale project in recent career
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
  • Experience working in a consulting or engineering firm environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices is a plus.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
