Responsibilities

In Conjunction with the VP of HR, the Director of Total Rewards will work to define the benefits strategy and manage the benefits team. In this role, the Director of Total Rewards will be accountable for the design, development, enhancement, enablement, and implementation of the benefits and wellness strategy with a focus on wellness, retention and market competitiveness with a commitment to equity, inclusion, and accessibility. Working with the company’s leaders, the Director taps into a strong knowledge of business operations to strategically manage total rewards and employ change plans for the corporate entity and affiliate management through design, analysis, development, evaluation, and implementation of companies. 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Masters’ degree in related field preferred.
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred.
  • 5 + years of human resources management, benefits administration, compensation management, business development, and leadership experience required.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • In-depth, strategic knowledge of compensation, benefits, and HRIS design.
  • Knowledge of classification principles and job evaluation methodology sufficient to apply appropriate techniques to classify positions.
  • Expert knowledge of current State and Federal compensation and benefit rules and regulations through official publications and communication with appropriate agencies.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of HR practices and principles.


*Note that this position offers a flexible hybrid schedule of onsite (Newark, DE) and remote work.


*Ability to travel (approximately 25%) and participate in project work at various Kendal Community locations.
