Director of Housekeeping Job Description

At Great Wolf Lodge, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Housekeeping to lead our housekeeping team. As a key member of our resort's management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in our resort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement housekeeping strategies to improve guest satisfaction and reduce costs.
  • Manage and supervise a team of housekeeping staff, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including cleaning schedules, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences, including front desk, food and beverage, and recreation.
  • Monitor and analyze guest feedback and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Develop and manage budgets for housekeeping supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations, including OSHA and EPA guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a resort or hotel setting.
  • Proven track record of improving guest satisfaction and reducing costs.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
