Position Purpose:

The incumbent will maintain and oversee inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items required for each project.

Take responsibility for securing the warehouse as well as supervising staff, coordinating logístical processes, ensuring the quality of goods, and preparing relevant documentation.

The Objective is to optimize warehousing processes and be an effective team leader who is dependable and has excellent organizational and time management skills.

The incumbent will train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse staff, assign workloads to warehouse associates, receive, unpack, pack, load, issue, store and deliver materials, supplies or equipment and complete packing slips for shipments as assigned.

The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the safety and health guidelines are followed as OSHA outlines.

Essential Functions:
The qualified individual must be able to perform the position's essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Achieves warehouse operations operational objectives.
  • Prepares and executes action plans for continued improvement.
  • Maintains inventory management system and ensures that it is kept up to date.
  • Supervise warehouse staff and facilitate training on warehouse processes and procedures for new hires. Determines worker's daily activities based on priorities.
  • Receiving and picking, packing, and distribution activity.
  • Manages the warehouse by providing daytoday staff supervision, planning activities, performing administrative duties, and responding to general management issues.
  • Communicate with superiors by briefing them on issues and providing action plans.
  • Communication between Clients/Subcontractors and Project Managers
  • Communicate and collaborate with other team members, divisions, and customers.
  • Train, guide, and evaluate new warehouse staff on CAP8's procedures regarding receiving, storing, picking, and loading trucks.
  • Track expenses related to fuel, storage, and truck maintenance.
  • Complete safety paperwork such as OSHA30 and RCP and contribute to a safe work environment.
  • Ensure basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations; OSHA guidelines are followed.
  • Counting and recording inventory within the warehouse management system
  • DOT certification and availability for interstate travel
  • Oversee and schedule maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
  • Perform daily inspections of the warehouse grounds.
  • Maintain records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
  • Work with the WH Manager to create daily, weekly, and monthly reports and statistical data (KPIs)—measures and reports on the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance.
  • Coordinate and maintain trucks and equipment.
  • Perform as a backup driver as needed. As required, Drive a car to and from the job site or the Cap8 office.
  • Operate forklift pallet jack and train and certify warehouse staff on proper use and operation.
  • Assist at job sites when customer or project manager reports discrepancies to resolve and address issues or concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years warehouserelated experience with direct supervision of staff)
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role is
    required.
  • A valid Class C driver's license is required; CDL is
    preferred.
  • DOT certified
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
  • Bilingual (Spanish /English) is highly preferred
  • Forklift certification.
  • Strong relationshipbuilding and leadership skills are
    required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Excel and Inventory Management software is
    required.
  • Successful Drug Test and Background check
    required.

Physical Demands:
The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The employee occasionally needs to move inside the office to access filing cabinets, machinery, etc. The employees must also be able to position themselves to maintain logistics equipment, including equipment under it. Will frequently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

They must be able to occasionally use their hands and arms to carry, move, or lift 20 to 90+ pounds, stoop, kneel, and reach with their arms and hands.

The employee will frequently communicate with employees, senior management, vendors, account managers, and service providers. Must be able to hear and exchange accurate information in these situations.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Occasional driving as needed.

Working Conditions:
This position is primarily an indoor environment; however, you will occasionally work outside,
