Position Summary:
The Logistics Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the efficiency of a service center. This position requires strong leadership and teamwork to foster a productive and harmonious work atmosphere. Additionally, it is crucial for maintaining safety protocols and delivering top-notch service, which significantly influences customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness.
Key Duties:
- Recruit, train, and guide a team of Technicians while delegating daily responsibilities to ensure optimal workflow.
- Promote a collaborative environment and facilitate the integration of new Technicians into the team.
- Assess and relay feedback to the market manager regarding team performance.
- Guarantee compliance with operational standards and vehicle safety by conducting thorough quality inspections before vehicles are dispatched.
- Adhere to established safety protocols to ensure Bird riders utilize the safest vehicles available.
- Maintain precise records of completed quality inspections for vehicles and components.
- Oversee vehicle operations, including inspections, rotations, and check-in/check-out processes.
- Assist in inventory management and the organization of tools, parts, and vehicles.
- Identify and resolve issues, performing minor repairs on vehicles in the field, from brake adjustments to cleaning, to ensure optimal functionality.
- Uphold safety and hygiene standards within the service center.
- Conduct in-house repairs, ranging from basic maintenance to complex electronic component replacements.
- Maximize the number of operational vehicles by efficiently executing assigned tasks.
- Safely operate equipment such as pallet jacks or push carts as needed.
- Perform additional job-related tasks as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
- 3-5 years of experience in managing and maintaining a warehouse or service environment with direct supervision of personnel.
- Familiarity with key performance indicators (KPIs) and experience in process improvement methodologies (lean, continuous improvement preferred).
- Strong mechanical background is preferred.
- Quick learner with excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Comfortable with learning new concepts and utilizing new tools.
- Proficient problem-solving skills, capable of performing swift and effective repairs.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage daily responsibilities effectively.
- A safety-conscious mindset, capable of conducting thorough quality inspections.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to engage with team members at all levels.
