Job Summary:

  • Provide a wide range of adoption education and intake services to prospective foster and adoptive clients.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma and 5+ years related experience OR Associate's Degree and 2+ years of related experience.
  • Professional and/or personal experience with foster care or adoption preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and advocate for all people we serve regardless of race, color, ethnicity, religion, disability, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work remotely or in office, with occasional in-person requirements in Minnesota.
  • Ability to think critically, make independent decisions, maintain informational organization and structure.
  • Must have valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle and be insurable under agency policy.

Job Duties:

  • Respond to all requests for information from prospective foster and adoptive clients with ethical, transparent, engaging and free information.
  • Lead presentations for prospective clients, partner agencies and key stakeholders through individual, group/public in-person and online information meetings.
  • Conduct thorough screening of prospective foster and adoptive clients to assess and advise on program eligibility.
  • Represent the Foster Care and Adoption programs of CH/LSS to prospective clients and agency partners through outreach events throughout Minnesota, and occasionally throughout the U.S.
  • Maintain optimized data collection through Adoption CRM Database.
  • Other duties as assigned.
