Job Description

Responsibilities

The Market Development Representative plays a key role in achieving volume and distribution objectives for our brands within Sazerac's portfolio. This position involves building brands, optimizing distribution, and acting as the primary contact for both on-premise (restaurants and bars) and off-premise (grocery stores, convenience stores, liquor stores) accounts in the designated area.

Sazerac is expanding its market development team by hiring Market Development Representatives, which forms part of a strategic corporate growth initiative. This opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking to kickstart or advance their career in a dynamic, rapidly expanding industry, making a direct impact on the company's success.

Additional Responsibilities For The Market Development Representative Include

  • Create and implement strategies to enhance business growth for assigned accounts, driving market share growth for Sazerac brands.
  • Utilize consumer and category trends to educate customers, resolve issues, and boost sales for brand building.
  • Lead in-store selling, merchandising, marketing, and execution for accounts in collaboration with distributors.
  • Meet volume targets for priority brands in the portfolio.
  • Develop and execute programs to achieve distribution, merchandising, display, and retail promotional goals.
  • Cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with assigned customers by understanding their needs.
  • Act as the primary liaison between key customers, wholesalers, and internal teams.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) with key customers.
  • Assist the Market Development Manager in brand building, programming, and distribution activities with customers.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience, or a sales internship or role in consumer goods for recent college graduates.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (nights/weekends).
  • Strong planning & organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to obtain a relevant solicitor's permit in any state.
  • Residence in or near the territory.
  • Ability to cover necessary business expenses that will be reimbursed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience.
  • Experience in market development and sales analysis.
  • Strong self-management skills to achieve results.
  • Proven track record in building customer relationships.

USD $65,000.00/Yr.

Max

USD $80,000.00/Yr.
