Portland, Oregon, United States Accelerator Media Full time

Accelerator Media is a small 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that formed with the mission to create educational multimedia content for a diverse global audience.

We are in the process of recruiting board members and we hope to meet interested candidates around the world.
Our primary focus right now (besides board recruitment) is on launching our first project; the production of

STEM Pathways

- a career profile video series focused on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). The purpose of STEM Pathways is to broaden participation in STEM fields by raising awareness of and stimulating interest in a variety of STEM-related occupations while demonstrating the education and training pathways to those occupations.

Our current six-member board is made up of four creatives with a combined 90 years of experience in multimedia production, a senior research scientist specializing in robot perception, and an engineering undergrad attending university in the Middle East.

We are actively seeking board members with experience in:
Nonprofit Governance
Corporate Leadership
Grant Writing
Education & Pedagogy
Legal Council (nonprofit and/or entertainment law)
Finance
Marketing & Communications
Time commitment is flexible but will grow over time as we establish these roles and develop our board structure. Initially, board members will be expected to attend 1-2 board meetings per month, each lasting approximately 60 minutes. Board meetings will be conducted remotely over Zoom.
