Job Title: Nonprofit Bookkeeper and Financial Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nonprofit Bookkeeper and Financial Specialist to join our team at Kelley NPC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial management and bookkeeping services to our nonprofit clients.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have excellent bookkeeping and financial management skills, paired with nonprofit experience and an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently. You will work closely with our clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and track financial transactions, maintain and monitor accounts, and complete bank reconciliations for our nonprofit clients.
  • Prepare financial reports and provide analysis to help our clients make informed decisions.
  • Develop and maintain bookkeeping systems for our clients, including setting up and maintaining QuickBooks.
  • Collaborate with our team to provide comprehensive financial services to our clients.
  • Identify and resolve any issues with bookkeeping in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience working directly with the nonprofit sector.
  • Experience with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online), Google Suite apps, Microsoft Office apps.
  • Solid understanding of how financials work within the larger organizational health and structure (programmatic, operational and fund development).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience preparing for Federal Single Audits.
  • Resident of a rural Oregon community.
  • Bilingual.
  • Experience with community-based and entrepreneur-based economic development.
  • Experience working with culturally-specific organizations.
