About the Opportunity


The I4.0 Applications Engineer role involves aiding small and mid-sized manufacturers in adopting Smart Manufacturing technologies. Responsibilities include assessing current technologies, making recommendations for future improvements, and collaborating with partners to facilitate technology adoption. The engineer will also be involved in setting and achieving annual goals related to projects, revenue, and partnerships.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Identifying industry trends and technology gaps in Michigan manufacturers
  • Staying updated on Smart Manufacturing technologies
  • Conducting technology assessments at client sites
  • Participating in Technology Trade Shows
  • Leading instructional sessions and creating course content

About You


The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a solid background in manufacturing, hands-on experience, and expertise in selecting and implementing smart manufacturing technologies. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Six Sigma Greenbelt or Black Belt certification, and proficiency in PLC controls, robotics, and Cybersecurity best practices.
