Position Summary: As a Controls Engineer, you will utilize standard engineering practices to design, develop, and maintain instrumentation and control systems. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the efficiency and reliability of these systems, contributing to the seamless operation of various processes and technologies. Your expertise will enhance the precision and performance of our engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation & Process Improvement: Implement automation in manufacturing or similar processes through instrumentation or control systems.
- PLC Applications: Create new and modify existing PLC applications, interfaces, or embedded controls.
- Technical Proficiency: Develop and adjust PLC or HMI applications, interfaces, or embedded controls.
- Documentation & Standards: Complete all necessary documentation specifications and operating procedures accurately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support the team and operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Typically require a bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of Beckhoff PLC control systems for automated grinding; Fanuc machine controllers for Swiss style machines; Allen Bradley PLC system for assembly machines. Ability to integrate IoT with machine controls and PLEX MRP systems is essential.
- Skills: Proficient in interpreting work instructions, following written and verbal directions, and communicating effectively. Must demonstrate manual dexterity and physical stamina, including the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
