MEEC is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer at MEEC, you will be responsible for ensuring that electrical project reports and designs submitted to clients are technically accurate.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Design electrical power, low and medium voltage distribution systems, fire alarm, interior and exterior lighting, and grounding systems for a variety of buildings, both new construction and renovations.
- Technical Design: Prepare technical design and construction documents, including detailed system layout drawings, including power, lighting, telecommunications, and/or fire alarm systems.
- Project Management: Manage electrical projects to ensure they are completed on time and on budget, coordinating work with utility companies and assessing and selecting appropriate equipment for the application.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into building designs.
- Field Visits: Conduct occasional field visits to verify existing conditions or to verify designed installations.
- Compliance: Continuously review and comply with building codes and regulations.
- Training and Development: Participate in training and mentoring programs to further develop roles and responsibilities.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in the MEP industry, or equivalent working knowledge/experience.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in utilizing various computer software packages such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Coordination Study, and Arc Fault Study Calculations.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- Certifications: Passed FE Exam (Fundamentals of Engineering Exam) OR Passed PE Exam (Practice of Engineering Exam).
