The Facilities Scheduling Coordinator coordinates all aspects of academic room assignments and event scheduling for the campus. Primary accountabilities include scheduling rooms for classes, meetings, special events, and large community events for internal and external groups. The duties include communicating with internal and external groups, giving tours of classrooms and event spaces, completing the rental contract, invoicing, and ensuring the receipt of rental fees. This position ensures proper staff is hired for the day which may include media services, public safety, catering, transportation, and other needs for special events. The Facilities Scheduling Coordinator works closely with the Academic Affairs/Student Affairs Operations Program Manager, Instructional Administrative Assistants, the Facilities Scheduling team, and other support departments to ensure that all aspects of event and room scheduling are completed accurately and on time.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of college coursework emphasizing computer-related discipline, business technology or related field (relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis).

Three years of administrative support experience with the primary focus of the experience encompassing the organization of large volumes of information; and using computer and customer service skills.

Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for yourself, domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age. Partial tuition reimbursement for yourself at other accredited institutions (full-time employees only).

Work is generally performed in an office area with some exposure to inclement weather when posting signs, checking classroom capacities, etc. Exposure to video display terminal occurs regularly. Job requires significant concentration, both mental and visual, while editing, proofreading and preparing data. Scheduling deadlines often create work pressure. Must stay abreast of technology related to job.

Physical Requirements
Learned physical skill required to perform keyboarding functions. Position requires sitting for long periods in front of video terminal, and periods of standing and walking.
