The CEO works closely with the Board of Directors to enable the Board tofulfill its governance function and gives direction and leadership toward theCompanys philosophy, mission and strategy in order to achieve its annualobjectives.

The incumbent would also be responsible for fostering a safe,customer-focused, quality assured and cost effective environment.
Key and Critical Responsibilities

Directs the development, preparation and monitoring of the CompanysStrategic Business Plan.
Directs the operations of the Company in accordance with approvedpolicies and procedures.
Identifies business opportunities which are consistent with thevision and strategic plan of the Company.
Directs and monitors the Companys annual budget and providesappropriate reports and assurances to the Board.

Represents the Company at meetings with State Agencies and otherorganizations seeking to utilize the Companys services and directs thenegotiation of business arrangements with such Agencies.

Establishes and maintains effective business relationships withgovernment agencies, Petrotrin and other Key Stakeholders to facilitateachievement of the Companys objectives.
Submits for the Boards attention, decisions to be made and mattersof importance in a timely manner.

Interfaces with the Chairman of the Board in setting the Boardsagenda, and provides accurate and relevant information to the Board for use indecision-making.

Implements policies of the board to assure socially responsible andethical behavior of the Company and its employees.
Guides the employees of the Company and provides executiveleadership to ensure the long-term success of the Company.

Develops and maintains an overall program for staff training anddevelopment and succession planning for the Department and the Management Team.

Ensures that the Companys organizational structure is tailored to meet heneeds of the organization
Ensures overall compliance for HSSE.
Performs any other duties as may be required to successfully achievethis job function
Key Competency

Qualifications and Experience

:

A Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or other relevant postGraduate studies together with eight (8) years working experience at a seniormanagement level

OR

A Degree in Management Studies/Finance/Public Sector Management/Survey Engineering with at least fifteen (15) years working experience of whichten (10) should be at a senior management level.

A Certificate or Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management
A Diploma in Land Administration/ Building Construction will be anasset
Experience in Managing in the Agro-Business Industry will be an asset
Knowledge:

Knowledge of Strategic Planning and Management.
Knowledge of Project Management.
Knowledge of Property and Estate Management.
Knowledge of financial planning and budgetary control.
Knowledge of development/trends in property and estate management atthe national and regional levels.

Knowledge of Government Development Policies/Strategies.
Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental practices andprocedures.
Knowledge of Industrial Relations and Human Resource Managementpractices and procedures.
Knowledge of relevant computer productivity tools.
Demonstrated proficiency in Property and Estate Management alongwith excellent knowledge of cutting edge complex Project Management systems andtechniques. Knowledge of government development policies and strategies
Committed to providing quality customer service and building strongcustomer relations with key stakeholders
Demonstrates a comprehensive awareness of PSAELs core business andadequate familiarity with its main customers
Motivates people to work collaboratively and creates synergies.
Works well within a team to achieve organizational objectives
Strong understanding of financial management and the internal andexternal business environment in which PSAEL operates. Ability to makedecisions that generate long-term benefits for the organization
