The selected candidate will oversee the accounting and financial reporting functions for the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), ensuring the integrity of all financial data produced by the AOC accounting system. This includes maintaining accountability for all funds, assets, and liabilities.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

In addition to fulfilling the Education Requirements, all candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level.

Responsibilities may encompass specialized experience in various activities:

POSITION LEVEL:

Specialized experience entails:
Expertise in accounting principles and their practical application in generating audited federal financial statements and associated financial reports;
Understanding of budgeting processes and GTAS requirements;
Ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret financial data;
Advanced proficiency with large-scale core financial systems, system interfaces, and financial reporting tools, including skills in operating accounting systems, reviewing outputs, rectifying errors, and executing both custom and standard queries and reports;
Capability to articulate financial matters and leverage accounting information to propose potential solutions to management.
