Headquartered in Knoxville, TN with hotels and projects throughout the Southeast, Gibson Hospitality Ventures and its management company, Gibson Hotel Management, currently operates 38 hotels including Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Choice and Wyndham properties with 4 more currently under construction and opening in 2024.

Our development pipeline includes some very exciting projects including two Compass by Margaritaville hotels (Cherokee, NC and Gainesville, FL), the first Sports Illustrated University Hotel in Tuscaloosa, AL and numerous other select- and full-service projects that will begin soon.

Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of Regional Directors of Operations, cultivating a culture of excellence, collaboration, respect, and servant leadership.

Directly oversee and provide strategic direction to our current portfolio of hotels.

Manage overall financial performance of the portfolio.

Oversee the development of and revision of the hotel's business plans and annual budgets.

Oversight of all aspects of Food and Beverage operations by providing strategic direction for our Food and Beverage operations.

Maintain regular visibility and communication with investors/clients.

Develop short term action plans and long-range planning for new programs and strategies.

Work closely with the sales and revenue teams to ensure that revenue and sales strategies are implemented and executed.

Strategize and collaborate with the Hotel | Resorts Development Committee.

Identify new opportunities for company growth.

Required Skills and Qualifications Our ideal candidate would possess a bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business management or another related field.

A proven track record of 20+ years that includes achievements related to management of hotels and restaurant concepts is required, as well as a high-level understanding of all hospitality business functions such as operations, accounting, human resources, sales, and revenue management.


The Senior Vice President of Operations (SVP) is a high-visibility position, requiring strong communication skills and carries the responsibility of driving operations to achieve and surpass budgeted revenues, profitability, business goals and objectives.

As you will be overseeing the operations, sales, marketing, and revenue management divisions of our corporate office for 30+ hotels, this position will provide strategic vision and financial leadership as we grow and expand our company's footprint in resorts, full-service and boutique hotels.
