This role requires a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting or related field.


Job Details

As a Consulting Director of Financial Reporting, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • STAT Reporting (Yellow Book)
  • Design process flows and implement controls
  • Write technical accounting memos
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing the financial reporting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Coordinating with the internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  • Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements to optimize the financial reporting process.
  • Participating in special projects and performing ad hoc analysis as required.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, the candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree would be an added advantage.
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP, SEC, and other relevant financial reporting regulations.
  • Property and Casualty Insurance Experience Required
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in clear and concise terms.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software and other relevant computer applications.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
