Financial Operations Manager
Thomas, Edwards Group is seeking a Financial Operations Manager to join our expanding team. This hybrid role will focus on the oversight and enhancement of financial processes and systems. The Financial Operations Manager will be responsible for comprehensive transactional accounting, consolidated financial reporting, variance analysis, and integration of acquisitions, while leading a dedicated team. This position provides significant interaction with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, along with opportunities for professional growth and the chance to drive change in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the monthly closing process, enhancing and streamlining procedures within the finance department to boost efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine the financial reporting framework, ensuring timely and insightful information is available to leadership.
  • Oversee audit coordination and address technical GAAP issues.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial data and analyses for private equity partners and board members.
  • Ensure robust accounting and control measures are in place for subledger activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and corporate consolidations.
  • Support billing processes and develop systems to guarantee accuracy and efficiency in invoicing.
  • Maintain and reconcile all subledgers and balance sheet accounts, with a strong operational focus.
  • Lead and work alongside other departments and external consultants to ensure successful implementation and enhancement of ERP and financial systems, aligning business processes with system configurations.
  • Establish and refine accounting structures and policies to promote compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Guide and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience in public accounting is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with acquisition transactions and their underlying principles.
  • Experience with order management and inventory transactions; some exposure to warehouse management is beneficial.
  • Strong technical GAAP knowledge and analytical skills are essential.
