About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Database Reporting Manager to join our team at Wheeler Staffing Partners. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for analyzing healthcare financial data and developing reports that provide valuable insights into the operational and financial health of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirement Gathering: Collect and document business and functional requirements and specifications to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Quality & Consistency: Ensure the quality and consistency of all reports and metrics, assisting in their consolidation to provide a clear understanding of our business performance.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze data, build database tables, stored procedures, and reports to deliver requested information and provide actionable insights.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a small team of data analysts/report developers and manage their deliverables to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Database & Application Team and other stakeholders to coordinate on projects and ensure seamless integration.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with business owners to define priorities, plan, develop, test, and deploy solutions that meet business needs.
  • Metrics Development: Define key metrics to provide insights and obtain approval for development to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Business Process Mapping: Understand business processes and map them to underlying data elements to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve gaps and issues between different data elements in the pipeline/process to ensure data integrity.
  • Automation & Streamlining: Automate and streamline the delivery of reports and alerts to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Documentation: Document reports, definitions, tasks due, escalate issues, and communicate progress to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Standard Practices: Work with the team and other developers to establish standard practices to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Identify data dependencies across business units and set up necessary controls to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain strong relationships between different business units to facilitate collaboration and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Additional Support: Assist with other analysis, development, and QA tasks as needed to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Requirements
  • Data Analysis & SQL: 5+ years of experience analyzing data and writing queries/stored procedures in SQL Server.
  • Power BI Reporting: 3+ years of experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI.
  • Excel Reporting: 1+ years of experience building reports in Excel.
  • Team Management: 2+ years of experience managing a team of data analysts or developers.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to quickly grasp and articulate dependencies between processes and data.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Project Management: Ability to take initiative and manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently.
Preferred Experience
  • Healthcare RCM Data: Experience with Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management data is highly desired.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fast-paced Environment: Experience working in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
