The Laboratory Technician will support the genome amplification system by executing laboratory procedures related to NGS sequencing. This is a Monday - Friday, traditional hours opportunity. The position is located on-site in Raleigh, North Carolina with occasional work-from-home flexibility.

Responsibilities of the Laboratory Technician:

Prepare sequencing libraries utilizing current products and custom solutions Monitor assay performance and seek routes for optimization when applicable Collaborate with external manufacturing service providers and in-house production staff to ensure mutual needs are being met Utilize molecular biology lab equipment, measuring tools, pipettes, and chemicalsConduct nucleic acid quantification assays (fluorescence and electrophoretic assays)Conduct high throughput laboratory experiments (384 well scale)Conduct next generation sequencing systems

Qualifications of the Laboratory Technician:

1+ years of relevant assay experience Experience working with pipettes and molecular biology techniques and equipmentHas significant drive to grow and develop in a laboratory setting, and work in a team-environmentA.S./B.S. in a Scientific discipline

Compensation of the Laboratory Technician:

$26 per hour Full benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Paid Holiday's
