Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant I provides administrative support for the operations of unit. Performs routine and well documented administrative tasks. Acts as office liaison/receptionist. Receives and routes phone calls, emails, and/or guests. Maintains files and enters data. Operates standard office equipment such as personal computers, copiers, fax machines, etc.
Additional Department Summary: Serves as administrative support for the Youth Services Institute, associated programs, and technical assistance efforts. Generates reports, graphs, and graphics. Assists and organizes training for professionals statewide. Organizes and maintains client files. Sorts mail. Runs errands in support of programs. Corresponds with clients and referral sources and community partners. Maintains calendar for supervisor.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED or higher.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Skills and Knowledge: Attention to detail. Ability to operate independently and efficiently. Excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to use standard office equipment, such as computer, calculator, copier, fax machine, etc. Ability to use standard computer programs, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications: Four (4) years of experience with increasing administrative responsibilities. Proficiency with Canva and social media platforms. Knowledge of programs utilized by UA, including Banner and Access.
