The Role
We are looking for a VP, Global Sales to develop and implement a data-driven strategy that will enable Amperity to meet and exceed our revenue goals. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy where you’ll identify opportunities for future growth and create and implement plans to achieve it. Partnering closely with the revenue leadership team and other cross-functional partners to strategically define and elevate the company's branding and sales direction, emphasizing an enhanced customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the SaaS industry, particularly within marketing technology, and will excel at building a collaborative sales culture that fosters success and drives revenue growth. You will expect excellence and professionalism from your team in performance of their functions with the highest levels of integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a global sales strategy across our territories - North America, EMEA and ANZ - that is aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Set ambitious sales targets and ensure their achievement through effective planning and execution.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats.
- Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a distributed team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Establish clear goals and performance metrics for the sales team, regularly reviewing and providing feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and excellence within the sales organization.
- Sales Operations:
- Partner with the revenue operations leadership to ensure the optimization of sales processes, tools, and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with operations and enablement leadership and cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and customer success, to ensure alignment and drive customer satisfaction.
- Customer Focus:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Ensure the sales team delivers exceptional customer experiences, addressing client needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Leverage customer feedback to refine sales strategies and improve product offerings.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a strong emphasis on SaaS and marketing technology.
- Proven track record of leading and scaling distributed sales teams in a matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets in a global context.
