Come Join our exciting TEAM  We are hiring The iconic Washington Hilton is looking for their next Events Manager to join their Events team. 

The Washington Hilton is located less than 2 miles away from The White House and National Mall.  Our 118,000 square feet of event space is carefully laid out over three floors. Highlights include a pillarless ballroom with rigging for lights, a private lounge with luxury seating, and an outdoor courtyard area complete with a firepit.  

Our ideal candidate would have 1-2 years of experience in Food & Beverage, Front Office, and/or events. Preferably hotel hospitality experience. 

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday (9AM-5:30PM) Need to have weekend and evening flexibility based on events. Role may be hybrid after 90 days.

Pay Rate: $31.25 per hour (plus sales incentive)

What will I be doing?As an Event Manager, you would be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of banquet and catering events in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Provide direction and supervision to departments to ensure successful execution of meetings and/or events Serve on-site group and catering clients and respond to questions about the event including, but not limited to, group room blocks, food and beverage, the function space, ancillary and vendor services, affiliates/exhibitors and related billing processes Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly Respond to guest inquiries and special requests and resolve issues and concerns in a timely, friendly and efficient manner Prepare reports, correspondence and analysis related to group activity Lead, facilitate and participate in meetings, as needed  Requirements
