Lead Developer

Reports to: AVP- IT Applications, Operational Excellence

 

Role Overview

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Developer to spearhead our team focused on developing and implementing process automation solutions and local applications. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of software development, a passion for innovation, and proven leadership capabilities to guide a dynamic team in delivering cutting-edge automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency and business processes.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Guide a small team of developers in the design, development, and deployment of process automation solutions and local applications.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging professional growth and continuous learning.
  • Coordinate and manage project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions and vendors deliveries including service metrics.
  • Oversee the development of automation solutions using modern technologies and frameworks.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation within the organization, collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs.
  • Design and implement automated workflows to streamline business processes and improve efficiency.
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party tools and platforms.
  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for process automation and local application development aligned with organizational goals.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the team is utilizing the latest advancements in process automation.
  • Collaborate with his senior management to define project priorities and resource allocation.
  • Act as a liaison between the development team and other departments to ensure clear communication and alignment of project objectives.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, technical documentation, and solution proposals to stakeholders.
  • Partners with our central Group Technology team to ensure adherence to best practices in software development, platform use, code quality, architecture principles and version control.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leading role.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing process automation solutions.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, .Net, Node, PHP.
  • Experience with data modeling, architecture using MS SQL, Amazon RDS or Azure SQL Database Managed Instance or similar.
  • Nice to have experience with process automation tools and platforms (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere).
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and DevOps practices.
