About the Role:

Job Summary

Provides comprehensive administrative support to the program area of community based clinical training at Foothills Area Health Education Center (AHEC).



Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements: High School Diploma

  • Minimum Experience: Three (3) years clerical experience, interpersonal skills, including customer service

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Provide support in the coordination of community clinical experiences for advanced practice students and other health profession students under the supervision of the Preceptor Coordinator.

  • Arrange logistics for clinical rotations with a focus on housing, student credentialing and travel support for students completing rotations in the Foothills AHEC region. 

  • Provide administrative support for the Foothills AHEC Preceptor Coordinator. Prepares correspondence, reports and other communication as requested by the Preceptor Coordinator.

  • Provide support with the coordination of student housing throughout the Foothills AHEC region including but not limited to scheduling, housing visits, inventory, developing information packets, arrangements for key pickup/return, and communication with the student.

  • Provide assistance with the credentialing process of advanced practice students at preceptor sites, clinics, and hospitals in the region.

  • Maintain appropriate records and documentation for clinical rotations, such as background checks, immunization records, PPDs, etc.

  • Provide support with the disbursement of travel support funds monthly to students and ensure adequate records are maintained.

  • Perform regular data entry for community based clinical training participants into the Foothills AHEC database, ADMS, per the Preceptor Coordinator.  Develop and provide reports in ADMS as directed by the Preceptor Coordinator.

  • Develop and administer evaluation of the Foothills AHEC services upon completion of the clinical rotation.

  • Assist with maintaining contact with students, especially graduates, to follow up on location and job placement with the help of the Foothills AHEC Office Coordinator.
