Primary function of the Director of Human Resource is to coordinate HR policies and programs with emphasis on the benefits and compensation areas, ensuring that the organization is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. In addition, the position is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions and activities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an understanding of all job roles, skill sets and responsibilities of employees.
- Travel required for regular site visits of local and remote offices.
- Promote and resource continuing education opportunities and industry certifications for employees.
- Be able to provide guidance for employee compensation ranges, specific to each market RED operates in. Regularly evaluate existing compensation for employee retention in critical roles.
- Intimate knowledge of all major hiring platforms and possess networking ability for recruitment.
- Participates as a member of the Corporate Crisis Management Team during critical incidents.
- Assists in overseeing the payroll.
- Benefit administration.
- Employee relations.
- Backup to Executive Administrator.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Daily administration of other HR services, including recruitment and selection, promotions, transfers, contract negotiation and administration, affirmative action/EEO compliance, job classification, performance evaluation, and employee relations in accordance with quality management principles and overall objectives of the organization.
- Develop, prepare, generate and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data.
- Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resource management
- Manages human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, and counseling staff.
- Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Three years of progressively responsible experience in human resources.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in commercial or residential property management.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional. (SHRM-SCP) current certification preferred.
- Prior payroll and benefits management experience preferred.
