Job Title: Human Resources Director

At the Musical Instrument Museum, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Director to join our senior leadership team. This key role will be responsible for overseeing the museum's human resource function, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll, benefit administration, compliance, training, compensation, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance skills and career growth.
  • Collaborate with managers to provide guidance on HR-related matters, including equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment policies.
  • Manage the HR department budget and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Administer the bi-annual performance appraisal process and provide feedback to employees.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in an HR management role.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ADP.

Desired Qualifications:

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR designation.
  • Advanced degree in Human Resources Management.
  • Experience working in the nonprofit industry.
