Overview

We invite you to explore this exciting opportunity for an HR Coordinator to join a prestigious law firm based in Washington, D.C. This position supports the overall development function and plays a crucial role in coordinating various processes for the firm’s attorneys.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate attorney new hire process, including personnel file preparation, Workday actions, orientation schedules, and onboarding training.
  • Manage transfer and departure processes, including Workday actions and exit interview reports.
  • Oversee attorney leaves of absence, including Paid Family Leave and related communications.
  • Handle bar admissions and annual bar renewals, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
  • Respond to attorney employment verification requests.
  • Assist with the coordination of attorney evaluations, including data compilation and ensuring timely completion.
  • Maintain department files, personnel records, and calendars.
  • Serve as a resource to attorneys in the DC office.
  • Support the overall department with special projects and collaborate with Attorney Recruiting on shared priorities.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Manage firm resources responsibly and comply with all firm policies and procedures.
  • Perform physical tasks including sitting, repetitive hand use, and lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds.

Qualifications:

  • Current knowledge of industry best practices and trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and the ability to learn new software systems.
  • Ability to interpret instructions and manage multiple priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Flexibility to adjust hours as needed.

Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least three years of development and/or program coordination experience in a professional services environment.
