Our client, with almost 100 years of expertise in furniture manufacturing, is seeking a seasoned Regional Sales Director for the North and South Carolina territory.  As the Regional Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving sales and expanding the market presence within the territory. This position involves indirect sales, via phone, and direct sales trips by car and airplane, throughout the region and collaboration with corporate and institutional clients. The ideal candidate is self motivated, has a positive attitude, and a sales hunter’s mentality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all sales activities within the North and South Carolina regions, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
  • Conduct direct sales trips to engage with corporate clients, including universities, schools, hospitals, clinics, hotel chains, and more.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with dealers and independent sales representatives to drive sales growth.
  • Work closely with dealers and independent sales representatives to maximize sales growth.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager on strategic planning and daily operations.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capture market share.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients.
  • Track and analyze sales performance, providing regular reports to the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven track record in sales, preferably within the furniture or similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of the North and South Carolina markets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to travel extensively, approximately 75% year one, within the Florida and Georgia regions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
