Position: Territory Account Manager
Location: Charlotte, NC
Role Summary
This role reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager and is tasked with overseeing all sales initiatives within a designated geographical area. The incumbent will also be responsible for formulating and implementing the national sales strategy concerning distribution and the marketing of the organization's products to end users and electrical contractors within the specified region.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with Electrical Distribution networks within the assigned territory.
- Expand business operations within the territory employing diverse sales methodologies.
- Identify potential clients and evaluate sales opportunities.
- Schedule and conduct meetings with prospective clients to present product offerings.
- Conduct cold outreach to companies in the territory to ascertain their needs.
- Compile a list of target companies within the region.
- Monitor competitor activities in the area and identify business development opportunities.
- Achieve revenue targets and key performance indicators as established by the Regional Vice President.
- Network with local businesses to foster relationships.
- Participate in relevant industry events and conferences to enhance business prospects.
- Collaborate closely with fellow territory sales managers and national account managers.
- Develop sales strategies aimed at securing large accounts.
- Stay informed on industry trends to pinpoint new business opportunities.
- 3-5 years of sales experience in the Electrical or a related sector.
- Prior experience in a sales role as a territory sales manager.
- Relevant industry experience from a competitor or a related organization.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate relationships at all levels.
- Solid product knowledge and a willingness to learn.
