Position: Regional Sales Manager


Role Summary
This role is pivotal in overseeing all sales initiatives within a designated geographical area. Reporting directly to the Regional Vice President of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager will collaborate closely with Manufacturer's Representative Agents to enhance sales performance in the assigned region. The individual will also be tasked with formulating and implementing the national sales strategy for product distribution and sales to end users and electrical contractors within the specified territory.
Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with Electrical Distribution channels within the assigned territory.
  • Develop business growth strategies utilizing diverse sales methodologies.
  • Identify and evaluate potential clients to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with prospective clients to present product offerings.
  • Initiate contact with companies in the territory to understand their needs.
  • Create a targeted list of potential clients within the region.
  • Monitor competitor activities and identify avenues for business expansion.
  • Achieve revenue goals and performance indicators as established by the Regional Vice President.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with businesses in the territory.
  • Participate in industry-related events and conferences to foster business connections.
  • Collaborate with fellow territory sales managers and national account managers.
  • Develop strategic sales plans aimed at large accounts.
  • Stay informed on industry trends to uncover new business opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of sales experience in the Electrical or a related sector.
  • Proven track record as a territory sales manager.
  • Relevant industry experience from a competitor or a related organization.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate relationships at all levels.
  • Strong product knowledge and a willingness to learn.
