Summary  The Downtown Women’s Center is the only agency in Skid Row focused exclusively on serving and empowering women experiencing homelessness and formerly homeless women. Our mission is to end homelessness for women in greater Los Angeles through housing, wellness, employment, and advocacy. The Corporate and Community Relations Coordinator is a passionate relationship builder and expert project manager who will support DWC’s corporate engagement, third party events, and coordinate group volunteer activities across the agency. Part of the Development and Communications team and reporting directly to the Corporate and Community Relations Manager, this position this position is an essential part of the team that manages DWC’s public profile, community relations, and secures resources to support the Center’s ongoing operations. Essential Functions Manage communication and coordination with volunteer groups from corporate and community partners, identifying volunteer opportunities that are aligned with the group’s interests and coordinating all logistics. Build relationships with diverse supporters; help connect our corporate and community partners to DWC’s mission and work. Work with DWC staff across departments to identify one-time projects and other unique opportunities appropriate for volunteer groups. Provide presentations, host tours, and assist with volunteer orientations and trainings (as needed) to educate supporters on women’s homelessness and DWC’s approach. Collaborate with the Communications team to promote volunteer opportunities and spotlight stories, images, and testimonials from our corporate and community partners. Accurately track interactions, service hours, fundraising outcomes, and other metrics related to our corporate and community partners. Maintain up to date information about corporate and community partners in DWC’s donor database. Process corporate matching gifts and maintain up to date information about volunteer opportunities on corporate engagement platforms, such as Benevity. Collaborate with the Donor Relations and Grants team to identify individual and corporate donor prospects resulting from group volunteer activities. Collaborate with the Corporate and Community Engagement Manager to identify new strategies and opportunities to engage and deepen relationships with corporate partners. Serve as the primary contact for all third party events at DWC: communicate with local businesses, companies, and individuals interested in donating proceeds or hosting an event to support DWC; review third party event applications and secure MOU’s from all partners; communicate expectations for event publicity and DWC’s involvement. Provide logistical support for large-scale events and initiatives, such as the Homeless Count, Needs Assessment, and Every Woman Gala. Assist with conducting research on individuals, corporations, and foundations for potential community partnerships. Cultivate partnerships in collaboration with Development team. Solicit in-kind donations, sponsorships, and contributions from corporate partners. Provide additional assistance as needed with activities that further Development and Communication activities, including advocacy and fundraising. Must-Have Experience and Skills Excellent interpersonal skills and a track record of building meaningful relationships Excellent verbal communication skills, including comfort with public speaking Strong problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail amidst competing priorities Comfort coordinating (including via email, phone, video call, and in-person) diverse internal and external stakeholders with a goal-oriented, collaborative approach Commitment to racial equity and social justice; recognition of the role of race, gender, and other identities in contributing to homelessness and inequity Commitment to DWC’s mission to end homelessness for women in greater Los Angeles through housing, wellness, employment, and advocacy Nice-to-Have Experience/Skills Experience supervising or coordinating volunteers, event planning, or corporate social responsibility. Candidates without this experience are encouraged to include in their cover letter how their experience/skills in project coordination and relationship management would make them successful in this role. Excellent written communication skills, including an ability to tailor communication style based on audience Prior experience with database administration and/or tracking and reporting data Proficiency in MS Office Suite Position Qualifications Must be a California resident and live at least 75 miles from DWC’s office; must be available for in-person meetings. 2. Must provide documentation of a negative COVID-19 test result from the last seven days, on first day of hire. 3. Must provide documentation of a negative TB test result within the last twelve months, on first day of hire. 4. Must have received at least the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination to start employment with DWC, and second dose must be received within 30 days from the first day of hire. Supervisory Responsibility 
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasionally assisting with lifting and sorting in-kind donations is expected. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work 
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, and is eligible for DWC’s comprehensive benefits package that includes training, paid time off, medical, vision, dental, parking and transportation benefits. This role will require a combination of remote and on-site work at DWC’s Downtown LA office. Schedule: Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm, with occasional (typically no more than 1-2 times per month) flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary. Travel 
Local travel for presentations to recruit and educate the community regarding volunteering and DWC is expected.
