CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS SENIOR SPECIALIST

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Corporate Communications Senior Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all employees are well-informed about essential information necessary for their success. This includes updates on competitive benefits, compensation structures, and career advancement opportunities designed to support employee engagement and contribution to the bank's objectives.

In this capacity, the Corporate Communications Senior Specialist will enhance communication channels among employees, management, the Human Resources department, and executive leadership. The goal is to translate critical HR initiatives into clear messaging that fosters awareness, engagement, and proactive participation.

As a member of the Corporate Communications team, reporting to the HR Communications Lead, this role serves as a trusted advisor to the Human Resources team. The specialist will implement a comprehensive HR communications strategy that empowers employees to deliver exceptional client service, advance their careers, and thrive within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key HR stakeholders to assess communication needs, provide strategic counsel, and develop actionable communication plans that yield desired outcomes.
  • Manage an HR Communications calendar and produce inclusive communications across various platforms, including newsletters, presentations, and large-scale events.
  • Lead multiple communication projects from inception to completion, which may involve project management and administrative responsibilities.
  • Ensure that all communication strategies and outputs align with Corporate Communications best practices and reflect the organization's culture, brand, vision, and values.
  • Evaluate and track the effectiveness of communication initiatives for internal reporting and to identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Engage in additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in writing, editing, and corporate communications.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Preferred degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience in finance or banking is advantageous.
  • Strong editing skills and familiarity with AP Style are beneficial.
  • Exceptional writing and copyediting abilities are required.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Interpersonal skills that foster effective relationships with colleagues and senior leaders are essential.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within teams.

Compensation: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience. This position may also be eligible for bonuses and/or commissions.
