Are you a current or past chef instructor and know how to engage students and teach not just the HOW, but the WHY behind cooking? Or an Executive Chef who is ready to ease into a position with a better work/life balance? We are currently interviewing for a dynamic and talented Culinary School Chef Instructor with expertise in pastry and/or savory cuisine, fine dining for a school in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah. The ideal candidate will be a creative leader with a passion for culinary arts, capable of educating and inspiring students while demonstrating refined food presentation skills. This role requires a strong background in pastry techniques, fine dining experience, and the ability to effectively train others in a professional culinary environment. **Please note that this position would require a relocation. It is not a remote role**


Chef Instructor of Culinary School Responsibilities:

  • Educate and Inspire: Deliver engaging culinary courses in pastry and savory arts, utilizing the latest industry techniques and trends to ensure students achieve educational excellence.
  • Curriculum Innovation: Collaborate with the academic team to continually refine and update curriculum, aligning with industry standards for student success in the culinary field.
  • Classroom Excellence and Safety: Lead dynamic classroom and kitchen environments with a focus on practical demonstrations, personalized instruction, and adherence to the highest safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Leadership and Community Engagement: Mentor a team of chefs and instructors while representing the school at industry events to foster community connections and stay at the forefront of culinary trends.

Chef Instructor of Culinary School Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a chef in pastry and/or cuisine fine dining, with a strong portfolio showcasing refined food presentation.
  • Previous teaching experience highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; passion for fostering creativity and excellence.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods, strong organizational skills, and willingness to work flexible hours.
