Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for a Regional Discipline Leader who will be responsible for the professional, technical, management, marketing, administrative and financial aspects of the Bridge & Structures Discipline. The Regional Discipline Leader shall perform duties in support of the Bridges & Structures discipline and region. Directs and manages Geographic Discipline Leaders within a specific region.

From inspection and load rating of existing structures to the design of new complex structures, Colliers Engineering & Design is improving bridges while reducing the long-term cost of maintaining these critical assets. Our professionals also understand that bridge solutions need to meet cost and schedule requirements.


Responsibilities

Provides leadership, managerial direction and guidance for the region to achieve established goals. Directs overall productivity, profitability, client satisfaction and quality of work. Responsible for discipline marketing and business development. Actively involved in the cross selling of all company services. Responsible for billings and collections. Works with the geographic discipline leaders on resource sharing and staffing needs. Responsible for regional training and staff development. Monitor staff utilization regularly and take corrective action if necessary. Complies with and ensures others compliance with all CED policies and procedures, including but not limited to the Health and Safety Program. Travels (via car or airplane) regularly to the various regions and offices.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. 15+ years of progressive leadership and managerial experience in the industry with 10 or more years of Bridge Engineering experience. Professional licensure in area of expertise. Prior DOT experience is highly preferred.

Demonstrated effective leadership across large groups of employees. Excellent communication skills. Strategic thinking. Effective delegation skills. Collaboration. Ability to hold other accountable.

Technical Knowledge/Expertise- Continually learn and apply applicable standards, procedures, trends, technology, and criteria to successfully perform the functional responsibilities of the position. Relationship Management- Possess and demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships which support the success of the Company. Business Acumen- Knowledgeable in best practices, trends, information, and other influences that affect CED and the environment in which we work, to maintain our position as an industry leader. Communication- Possess and demonstrate the ability, skills, and initiative to exchange information effectively and efficiently. Program and Project Management- Possess and demonstrate the ability to lead effectively and efficiently, plan, organize and manage procedures, protocols and/or staff to achieve the desired results of specific projects and/or programs.
