San Francisco, United States Workday, Inc. Full time

About the Role

It’s an exciting time to be at Workday We’re actively seeking the right talent to help us achieve our bold growth goals, scale the company and cultivate our outstanding culture. Workday is shaping the future of work, and we’re seeking a strong communications leader who can partner with three top executives to help us effectively tell our customer experience and go-to-market story across a diverse set of audiences, including employees, customers, partners, analysts, shareholders and influencers.

This is a highly visible and strategic role that will partner with Workday’s Chief Customer Officer; Workday’s Co-President and head of Global Revenue; and Workday’s President of Global Sales. The ideal individual for this role will have demonstrated enterprise SaaS experience and fully understand the go-to-market engine behind an enterprise software company–including how enterprise software products and services are generally sold and deployed. A proven track record to write clearly and with impact for multiple channels (keynotes, videos, organizational emails, blogs, and more) is critical. Other skills include the ability to forge strong relationships with executives and their leadership teams, capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and the capacity to prioritize at the same time. And since Fun is one of Workday’s core values, a sense of humor and the ability to not take oneself too seriously are also highly valued traits. Ready to learn more?

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive a strategic, mostly external, executive communications program for Workday’s Chief Customer Officer; Workday’s Co-President and head of Global Revenue; and Workday’s President of Global Sales, in partnership with PR, marketing, events, social media, employee communications, and AR.

Together with PR, develop executive thought leadership platforms and engagement strategies.

Work hands-on with executives and other key partners to plan, write, edit, and distribute a variety of different communication materials including blogs, video scripts, keynotes, etc.

Drive keynote development and be a strategic adviser to the executives on messaging, tone and speaker delivery.

Partner with executives and their teams to develop internal messaging and presentations for company updates, key initiatives, industry issues, and other topics; serve as strategic advisor in tandem with executive chiefs of staff and executive assistants

Work closely with executives to develop messaging that informs their external narrative and supports them on a variety of external-facing activities such as media briefings, customer-facing events, industry speaking opportunities, blogs, and more.

Help cultivate and grow the brand voice of Workday, using humor and fun to engage and inform—working closely with other teams within Marketing to ensure a consistent brand experience.

Collaborate closely with the design team to guide the development of corresponding visuals and slides that illustrate key points and help executives engage audiences

Partner tightly with the other teams and stakeholders within Corporate Communications, Marketing, Product Marketing, Partner Marketing, Customer Experience and Global Revenue leadership and other parts of the Workday to ensure tight alignment of messages and narratives.
