About this Opportunity: 

As a Relationship Manager - External, you will be responsible for supporting the growth and relationships of Orion’s client base through in office meetings and scheduled contacts to the clients and team members of Orion. In addition, the role is responsible for helping the client to build a better business by identifying opportunities for efficiencies and resource improvement thus increasing the adoption of Orion’s technology services. As we continue to evolve and live our Orion values, we are looking for someone to grow with us.

In this role, you'll get to:

Determine advisor’s goals as it relates to business model and growth initiatives; track goals and facilitate meetings internal resources to accomplish and ensure accountability from Orion and from Advisor

Ensure Salesforce is up-to-date with client's current custodians, CRM, Financial Planning system, Trading system or other technologies advisors utilizes; track which organizations our clients are part of and how Orion can get involved

Use survey tool to determine effectiveness of visits and to help find additional needs of clients 

Share Orion's development roadmap with clients and obtain feedback to help identify areas of additional development to support advisor’s business 

Ensure Orion maintains a healthy relationship and is in a position to re-new servicing agreement 

Discover additional opportunities with clients and determine if new development is needed. If new development is needed work with internal teams to determine ROI on development. 

Work with existing advisors to ensure proper addendums and agreements are in place to continue to service them 

Maintain good standing to use for references and work to obtain referrals; track up to date status of reference availability; requests advisor helps Orion via social media and advisor reviews to help maintain Orion’s goods name 

Promote Orion’s technology to advisors via distribution content 

Provide guidance and consulting to advisors on how to best utilize Orion’s technology

Participate and present in regular regional Orion training meetings

Attend industry conferences to meet with clients, partners, and prospects; attend client support conferences to present and work additional opportunities 

Participate in Orion Advisory Board Meetings 

Work with VP of Business Development to be a resource for web demos, office visits, and due diligence process to bring advisor to agreement

Help to build report mock up’s by working with tech support to help identify required development w/ reports, new interfaces, and system enhancements

Help to bridge gap between Orion SME team and prospects w/ detailed questions; becomes additional resource for advisor

Participate as needed in first set of implementation calls ensuring a resource from sales team is present and participate on initial set of calls depending on needs

Conduct pre- and post-implementation visits through hub and home office travel; become a resource to identify best ways to use our technology

Work with subject matter expert teams and application teams to communicate feedback received by clients and prospects for new development

Work with project management team to help provide feedback on client projects and provide support when needed

Work with product management team to help provide feedback on improvements to Orion platform that will ensure better workflows for Orion clients

Work with service teams to provide feedback on client needs and help provide clarification on issues and provide suggestions on ways to improve service metrics

Establish and maintain relationships with custodian technology consultants and relationship managers

Maintain contacts with Orion integration partners and provide feedback on integration needs

Work with Orion Tech Support to ensure Orion integrates as efficiently as possible with partners and to help facilitate new integration partners by identifying vendors and integration points

Reciprocate leads with partners and help facilitate introductions to clients

We're looking for talent who:

Has knowledge and understanding of the securities industry, specifically knowledge and understanding of RIA's and B/D's

Has knowledge and in-depth understanding of Orion operational policies and procedures

Possess ability to effectively analyze situations and applying solutions to achieve resolution

Possess ability to effectively communicate and present to diverse groups and individuals through strong written, speaking and listening skills

Demonstrates ability to build and strengthen relationships with both internal and external business partners

Has minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field

Obtain Orion Industry Certification

Has minimum of three years of experience in consulting/sales, relationship management, technology assessment or similar role

Has experience working with RIAs in the Financial Services industry

Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
