Janome America is a distributor of household and computerized sewing machines; a subsidiary of Janome Corporation, Tokyo, Japan, who are one of the world’s largest manufacturers of home sewing machines and leaders and innovators in the home sewing industry. Janome currently has a full time opening for a District Sales Manager in its Southwest Sales Territory. This includes the states of CA, OR, NV, UT, AZ, HI. This position is based onsite at the Janome America Headquarters in Mahwah, NJ. Candidates must have the ability to travel 50-70% (2-3 weeks per month) in designated sales territory.

Janome is seeking a highly motivated and outgoing salesperson who possesses a passion to succeed and ambitious career goals. This individual must have the ability to listen, ask great questions and make meaningful and quality presentations. This is a great opportunity to showcase your sales background. Janome has a comprehensive training program that will enable you to make a smooth transition into this great industry. The primary responsibility of this heavy travel position is to achieve a larger market share, create more brand awareness/loyalty and increase profit margins while selling more volume.

Skills:
• Experienced presenter
• Can overcome objections
• Excellent account and territory management skills
• Excellent follow up and follow through skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Comfortable with client database software
• Knowledge of sales strategies
• Excellent closing skills
• Merchandising skills
Experience:
• 5 + years of progressive career sales growth in sales positions
• Knowledge of business development
• Knowledge of a retail trade a plus
• Previous experience selling to a dealer network is preferred
• Experience selling tangible consumer products
• Sewing machine industry experience preferred
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Position includes a base salary plus commission (annual total compensation averages in excess of $150K with the capacity to grow).
