An established global manufacturer is looking for an HR Generalist to assist with HR functions for North America. Reporting to the Sr. Human Resources Manager, the HR Generalist will work collaboratively with the team to coordinate various HR projects                                                

Salary: $80,000-$90,000 – DOE
Benefits: 401K, Medical, Dental, Vision
Location: Houston, TX 77041 - Onsite
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee recruitment efforts, streamline hiring processes, and ensure smooth onboarding for new employees.
  • Maintain compliance with employment laws and company policies while keeping records up to date and recommending policy enhancements.
  • Keep HR systems, self-service portals, and internal knowledge databases accurate and accessible.
  • Support employee relations, assist in conflict resolution, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Administer benefits, wellness initiatives, and workers' compensation programs to enhance employee well-being. Provide back up support for payroll processing.
  • Develop career growth opportunities, mentorship programs, and leadership training to support employee success.
  • Respond to HR-related inquiries, collaborate with managers, and escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Contribute to HR projects, enhance service delivery, and implement best practices for continuous improvement.
 Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or similar discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources within the manufacturing industry required.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification a plus
  • Hands on experience in recruitment, benefits, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
  • Working experience in HRIS and ATS
  • Payroll experience a plus
  • Spanish bilingual a plus
  • Experience in a lean and/or six sigma environment preferred
